Hyper Names runs as a small studio, which means every project gets direct attention from senior creatives rather than being passed down a chain. The team combines linguistics, visual design, and legal awareness so that a name arrives with its full context attached.
We keep the group deliberately compact. That keeps communication short and decisions fast, but it also means each person carries a specific responsibility from first brief to final presentation.
Founder, Creative Director
Marta Silveira
Marta spent eight years naming products for agencies in Porto before starting Hyper Names. She leads the naming sessions, runs the linguistic checks, and writes the rationale that accompanies every candidate name.
Identity Designer
Rui Cardoso
Rui translates a name into a visual direction. He sketches logo concepts, tests typography pairings, and prepares the moodboards that show how a name might live on packaging, signage, or a website.
Research & Trademark Analyst
Ines Marques
Ines handles the less glamorous side of naming: domain checks, trademark searches, and cultural relevance screening. Her reports flag risks early, so the shortlist only contains names that have a realistic path forward.
The studio started in 2019 as a two-person desk inside a shared office in Bragança. We spent the first year doing naming sprints for local restaurants and small tech startups, learning that a name only works when it survives both a trademark search and a bar conversation.
By 2022 we had built a repeatable process: linguistic checks, cultural relevance reviews, and a structured presentation that shows why each candidate made the shortlist. That process now anchors every project, whether it is a product launch or a full identity refresh.
We ran short, focused sessions for three local ventures. The feedback loop taught us to separate personal taste from naming logic.
After one client nearly lost a name to a conflicting mark, we made clearance checks a mandatory step before any presentation.
Clients kept asking for logo direction alongside names, so we added visual identity concepts to every naming package.
Hyper Names Studio works with founders who are preparing a product launch or a local business opening and need a name that holds up in the Portuguese market. We combine linguistic checks, cultural relevance review, and trademark-safe exploration to deliver candidates you can actually use.
Most of our work comes from startups in the food, retail, and service sectors. A typical project starts with a short brief from you, moves through two rounds of name candidates, and ends with a presentation that explains the reasoning behind each option.
We keep the process direct. You get a shortlist, pronunciation notes, and a clear sense of what each name can do for your brand before you commit.
